In Principled Innovation, resilience not only supports the process of innovating but is also often the goal of our innovations: much innovation in our learning environments is focused on creating environments that foster children’s resilience and prepare them to meet challenges in life. In this TED Talk, former Surgeon General Jerome Adams describes the importance of building “unbreakable communities” that better equip us to surmount challenges in life. By highlighting the link between health and economic advancement, he points to the critical role that collaborative partnerships across sectors can have on building a community’s resilience.
