Sense of purpose—the most important strength?

Principled Innovations are rooted in a sense of purpose—rooted in our sense of justice, in our values, and in the empathy that comes from perspective taking and understanding. As University of the South psychology professor Sherry Hamby writes in this article, many studies have found that this sense of purpose is one of our greatest resources in strengthening our resilience.
