Finding confidence in conflict

In the midst of difficult conversations with people who disagree with us (a process that engages the PI assets of inclusivity and civility), our instinctive response is “fight or flight.” In this TED Talk, Kwame Christian, a law professor at Ohio State University, talks about how moving to “compassionate curiosity” can shift the dynamic of the conversation and allow true communication to emerge, exposing the root problems (Practice I1) and opening the door to solutions.
