A tale of two teachers

This TED Talk (12 minutes) by artist and education consultant Melissa Crum draws on her own experiences to describe the challenges many teachers face in relating to students who do not share their cultural context. Crum describes the way she uses art in her current work to help teachers learn to look past their own biases and better understand the lived experiences of their students.
