2023 Fall Convening: Practice Principled Innovation
ASU places character and values at the center of decisions and actions.
As ASU’s newest design aspiration, Principled Innovation (PI) prompts us to place character and values at the center of our decisions and actions. Sharing experiences through storytelling helps to illustrate the complexity of PI and the evolution of the concept at ASU.
This convening will be an open and collaborative space to introduce Principled Innovation to the broader ASU community. Join us to connect with those already engaging in work around Principled Innovation within the university and to collectively engage in meaning making, build community, and imagine how Principled Innovation might be embedded in various contexts across ASU.
This convening is made possible by a generous gift from the Kern Family Foundation.
An in-depth agenda can be found here.
There is not a set dress code, but please wear clothes that make you feel comfortable.
Please note that some sessions throughout the convening will include active movement and additionally some will be facilitated outside.
There will be a light breakfast provided until 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided from 12 to 1 p.m.
Coffee and hot tea will be provided during the breakfast and the afternoon break.
There are several locations downtown where parking is available, but will vary based on the ASU parking pass you have. Please review your parking options prior to the convening.
The closest parking garages are the University Center Garage (UCG), 3rd Ave. Lot (between Fillmore St. and W Van Buren St.) and Fourth Avenue Perimeter Lot.
There are several options available for those not wanting to drive. There is an ASU shuttle stop right across the street from the A.E. England building and there are bus and light rail stops close as well.
Bus and Light Rail options: Valley Metro website.
We’d like to thank Lauren Potter for allowing us to use her photo of the AE England building for our Save the Date invite and event promotions. You can see more of her work on her website: https://www.laurenpotter.online/
